“I joined the We Canada Initiative for the Earth Summit 2012 knowing environmental sustainability is an immediate concern for every nation. The passion that I feel for life is expressed through creativity and imagination. The role I play within this project is to bring a visual awareness to the global cause. By the power of visual art, my goal is to transmit and reinforce the vision of a pristine Mother Earth.”

Garett Campbell-Wilson is an emerging artist, born in Vancouver, British Columbia. His art is provocative, engaging and a feast for theeyes. Campbell-Wilson has had a passion for art from an early age and received formal training at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. Currently painting full-time in his studio, he finds variety to be key in his creative process and that it is important to resist becoming restricted to one style or way of working. He prefers large-scale painting while developing multiple paintings at a time. A recurring theme in Garett’s work is diverse perception. He creates conversation pieces where viewers enter into dialogue sharing multiple perspectives. Garett gains inspiration from nature, observation, and tapping into all the senses. Essentially, his vivid dreams are reinterpreted in his artwork. The connection of mind, body, and spirit is essential to his creative process.

Today, Garett continues to show his works of art in numerous locations in Vancouver and has private and corporate clients in Canada and the United States. He is currently working on commissions as well as personal projects reflecting the zeitgeist.

“I create with feeling and imagination to evolve as an artist. I relate a painting to a book with no ending. The story changes as we tap into our perception.”
